Day 6 - Sun Moon Lake(2) and Alishan Today wake up early and had breafast at the hotel. First time i had buffet breakfast and wats great is tt they had both chinese and western style. The western style is nothing special but the chinese style one is real nice - porridge with pork floss is damn yummy!

A super funny guy take us for a tour around sun moon lake. This tour guide is super humorous and knowledgeable. He seems to know everything under the sun. The whole group of us were real impressed with him. He first take is to a wobbling side of the lake. Hmmm i seems to have forgotten wat cause this phenomenon le. Opps
I tink most of the people know that Taiwan has 9 "Shao Shu Min Zu". However, they got 1 additional one lately and they even proven it by DNA somemore. Hee ... The 10th is called "Shao4 Zu2". We were taken to their village where there were various paintings tt depict the origns and some beautiful tales of this 10th Zu2.
Next, we went to "Ci2 En1 Ta3", a tower CKS built in memorial of his mum. The journey to this pagoda is not easy as we had to climb up the trail which is around 570m. Haha.. Even after reaching, we still had to climb up the tower which is around 4 storeys high. However, all the efforts is worth it as we are able to see the whole scenery of sun moon lake on top of the tower! The view is breathetaking!!!
Den, we went to another attraction called the "Xuan2 Zhang4 Si" where the she li zi of Xuan Zhang is kept. I always thought tt he is a fictious person. I am so ignorant. We also had the opportunity to dress in the traditional clothes of the shao zu and take fotos. We looked so funny but is a memorable experience for us. After tt, we took a small boat tour round sun moon lake. A short and expensive ride!!!
 
     
   
After lunch, we embark on our journey to Alishan. The journey there is realli veri xinku as it is a long ride and the car is rather bumpy. As we go higher and higher up into the mountains, we are actualli travelling admist the clouds! This is damn cool but not for the driver. In the front window, i can see nothing but clouds and onli visibiilty of 1m. Haha.. if the road is not marked yellow, i dun tink we can travel at all lo. I tink realli need experience and skilful driver. Amateur sure crashed! Was holding our pee till we reached a small stopover at the husband and wife tree. The temporary toilet stinks like hell! I had to hold moi breathe while reliving moiself. The husband and wife tree is the onli 2 trees left after a forest fire. Damn cool right, even when disaster strike, they still stand by each other! SO touchy.
      
Finalli after a day of travelling, we reached Alishan. The place is super cold! I had to wear like 3 layers of clothing lo! The Mu Chee biscuits at Alishanm is veri nice! They got lotsa flavours and colours - pink, yellow, orange, green anf brown. I bought 1 back onli as it cannot be kept long. Haiz.. next time shld buy more. Hee... Slept early at 10pm cos we are going to watch sunrise tmr!!! Hee.. but i am so excited!!! i cant sleep till 11 pm!

ECP Day (Tue)It has been a long since i went to ECP le. I was so looking forward to this outdoor activity day. Hee.. i guess after i started work, i wont have priviledge to do so le especially on a wkday. ECP is not crowded at all. I guess all the kids and teens have went back to school. Hooray!!! Rent bikes and off we went cycling for 2 hrs! The feeling of cycling along the beach, listening to the sounds of nature - the leaves and the waves with the wind blowing gently is great! Or the feeling of cycling while listening and humming to moi mp3 player is also shiok! Hee...Though moi backside realli hurts after much cycling, sijia and mi still decided to roller blade. Haha... Roller blading is nothing new to mi. I had try it before but erm, i realli not tt good. Luckily ECP is deserted, if not i will be more paiseh if the peeps keep staring at the 2 gers who is trying very hard to keep their balance and not fall. Roller blading is realli fun but i guess we were too hungry le. Haha.. we stopped and "chiong" for dinner after 1 hour

 Dinner was at a HK restaurant in ECP called "Shi Na HK Fast Food" The place is realli well- furnished. The food on the menu looks yummy also. Haha.. The food came and is not realli tt bad la. However, the "Yuan Yang" here is so so onli. I feel the best one is still the one from "Wan Zhai" @ IMM. Tink of this, moi saliva are dripping le! Hee...

Day 5 - Sun Moon Lake
Today, we set of from Hualian to Sun Moon Lake. This day sucks cos it keeps raining and raining. SO everywhere we go, the umbrella is our best companion. However, it is definitely difficult to travel ard with the umbrella and lotsa barang barang in the rain! Had to take train back to taipei before we can go to Sun Moon Lake. Upon arriving at the train station, a few of us went to the I counter at the train station. Haha.. the guy at the information counter is so so cute lo! Cawaii lo! How i wish i am staying in Taiwan! So many eye candies. Hee

To reach sun moon lake, we had to take HSR to taichung. HSR is their high speed rail and the first experience with it is definitely enjoyable. Haha.. The experience is just like taking a flight cos even for the toilets, their flush works the same way.

Haiz.. today is realli a bad day. Cos after reaching taichung, we took a bus to nantou hoping to reach sun moon lake. But haiz.. is the wrong route. In the end, we had to alight at Cao Tun and from there to Puli and finalli Sun Moon Lake. OMG, everyone was so tired from the travelling. Sad sad...

Finalli reached Sun Moon Lake! Although it is raining, i can already feel tt the place is veri scenic! As we arrived there rather late, the only place we managed to see is the "Wen WU Miao". The place is rather majestic and pray to "Kong Zi". I prayed veri hard and sincere. (i guess tt is how i got moi honours).

Dinner was at a local restaurant. The food is okie but the disgusting part is tt there were lotsa flying flies due to the rain!! Yucks!!! They keep flying ard and hovering ard the food. I am so damn scared tt the flies will dropped into moi food! Bleahz. Anyway, nothing we can do as it is raining. So we bought red wine back to the hotel and chill out!

The hotel we stayed is veri nice! Hee we got a room for all the 7 of us. Although the time took for bathing is veri long, but the feeling is great! Veri cosy and comfortable. Haha.. We bought lotsa food and munch munch munch. Realli enjoyable night. Shit.. getting fat from all the junkies. haahaa.

A glimpse of the Ist BIE Convocation Dinner 2007
BIE peeps!!! I guess all of you all are informed by now about the convocation dinner held on the evening of 23 July. The venue has been fixed at the Republic of Singapore Yacht Club near to West Coast Park. I believed many of u all might not have heard of this place, not to even mention coming to this place. Similar to you all, i never been to this place before ill last wk when a grp of us went to recce the place.
This place indeed has much to offer! Nice food, nice scenery, nice atmosphere and most of all a veri nice sunset. We arrived in time to view the sunset tt day and the sun is like a golden yolk and i can see it going down the horizon slowly! Hee Whoa... so those coming to the convocation dinner, you all are in for a nice evening!

Shopping Day - Vivo
Informed by shopping queen - yan qi abt the mango sale on thurs. Hee definitely how can i miss!!! Met ying yi at vivo city and went directly to MANGO and shop and shop. Haha.. we spend close to 2hrs inside - looking, searching, changing and squeezeing thru the crowd even on a wkday!!! After tt is still not enu, haha went to Pull and Bear to continue as they are having sale also! Haha... by the time we were finished, we were so famished. Took some fotos at vivo as ying yi is leavin for UK soon for 1.5 yrs! Argh.. sad sad... Must realli spend more time with her. hee

I love moi life now!!! If i like just go out la kopi with friends, shopping and sing ktv. If not, i can go swimming or jogging. If not, i can just laze around at home doing nothing or watch shows like one litre of tears and dicey business. Life is realli realli good! Hee.. i hope this will continue foreva. I know i am slow, just finished watching one litre of tears. But indeed, is a veri veri sad yet motivating show. "Being alive and healthy is already happiness"

July Babies (Yucks! Haha)
Haha... Pardon for the irritating (s). Celebrated the july babies - Yiting, Kok Hao and Qiming. First i wan to apologise that i didnt manage to book the japanese restaurant Waraku in time. In the end, we waited for for 0.5 hr also no seats. With such a big grp of us, we settled for Billy Bombers instead. Hee there is a waiter there very hao xiao one. Erm, he or i shld say she? Hahah.. he is veri niang!!! They way he speaks and especially the way he walks - like cat walk lidat. Many a times, i could not control but burst out laughing. The portions at Bombers are famous for its big portion. But if u are hungry, better not try the "Yeehah - fireball spahgetti". At first, i thought it was meant for the kids.

After dinner, we went to chill at at clarke quay at a bar which i dunno wats the name. There is a wide variety of beer and we ordered 2 towers of 2 kinds, calamari and nachos. My god, the calamari is so so so nice! It is so crispy and i luv the layer of chilli paste they put underneath the calamari! Yum yum!!!

The towers of beer are realli a lot! And we started the finger guessing game! Haha.. it was hrs of fun~ It was the first start i drink like beer at a go. I tink i suck at this game. Cos halfway thru, i was already feeling a bit high and getting dizzy. I dun tink i can even walk straight. But, i am not the onli suay ones. The suay kias include Eric aka the bitch (mj secret) and kee meng who is always forfeitted for the stupidest reason like not able to calculate. Haha. But it was realli fun!!! hee like it veri veri veri much!!! Haha.. and kee meng and adrian are real good drinkers! They even ordered extra beer after the 2 towers and drink it at a shot! OMG!

Day 4 - Hualian (2)The 2nd Day in Hualian is sianz. Cos it is raining heavily and it realli dampened our moods. We first went to "Li2 yu2 tan2", a lake where we took a ferry round the river. The scenery must be veri nice if it is not raining.
 Next venue is "Bai2 Bao4 Xi1". It is a veri interesting place where we can search for tawian jade there. We had so much fun there tt we didnt realli feel like leaving. It is super shiok to soak moi feet in the cooling fall water.   Then, we went to Taroko Park! The scenery is indeed breathetaking. The magnificent water fall, high rise mountains with the peaks hidden by the mist and clouds. I realli luv this place!!! But the rain was raining so heavily that most of us were shivering!!! Even alighting from the van and taking fotos is unbearable due to the chilling rain and wind.

If u look at the right bottom of the rocks, it resemble an indianna. However, the water level has been rising due to the tremendous amt of sand and debris dropping from the upstream. Now the water level is already touching the nose, i wonder the next time i go back, will it be totally submerged?
This rock looks like a frog and the shelter looks like its crown. The red colour bridge adjacent to it is called the "Ci2 MU3 Qiao2". Last time, a man dropped into the waters and was flushed away by the currents. His mother came here everyday to wait for his child to return. Of course, he never did. A tragedy story which depicts the greatness of motherly love. I Love u mushroom! Haha

Day 3 - HuA liAn
Though i realli like the farm, the time has come to bid goodbye. Aunties prepared this vegetable baus and milk tea for us for breakfast. The milk tea there taste a bit different though. The tea has a nicer fragrance compared to the ones in singapore. However, i feel it is too sweet, even for someone like mi who has a sweet tooth. The Auntie say since we are early, we can walked up to the market which is 15mins away. There is a nice church up too. Hearing tt, we decided to walk since i thought the church would be rather marvellous. So we started to climb and walked upslope along the high way. The barang barang tt we were carrying were already enu to tire us out. After wat seems like ages, i started to ponder whether the 15mins is by foot or by scooter. Haha.. After much sweat, we finalli reached!!! Erm, the view is realli not tt fantastic.

act cute! With wat little time we had left in Yilan, we left for the wine museum. Nothing veri much interesting here but mao mao and mi bought the YILAN Biscuit which looks so appetising. Dont be mistaken by the word biscuit, cos it is rather big, like the size of a normal cake. The fillings are fantastic, with red bean, mochi and pork floss! It is yummy~But too bad cannot buy back singapore cos it expire rather fast. Gigantic Beer!!! After a train ride, we reached our next destination, HualiAn. The initial plan was to go to the sugar factory. But, as we reached there too late le, there is not enu time! SOb.. in the end, we went to the stone museum. Guess wat, museum is having a renovation and inside there is not much exhibits. Haha.. in the end, we had to self entertain ourselves with the stone exhibits outside.

Dinner was at a highly recommended "wanton" restaurant. The restaurant looks erm normal and they dun sell noodles, just wantons. It doesnt look veri nice after biting one, i was damn wrong. The wanton skin is so thin, like tissue. Indeed, the "wanton" is not lang de xu ming one. Hee. We had a slow walk to the "SHI2 yi4 da4 jie1" where there will be some performance. nice fountain

turn and turn.. Huat ar! the xiao long bao is a bun! In Hualian, we stayed in this hotel called the "Qing Ting Hua Lian". The exterior looks like that of a 7 storey shophouse. But inside, is damn posh. Though we are paying for a 3 star hotel, the facilities are definitely 4. The lift looks posh and comes with a secrutiy system. The interior is nicely decorated with art pieces selected by the bosses. There is a lounge area and a balcony to chill out! This hotel definitely enables mi moi nice sleep in Hua lian!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUBU JIE JIE
It has been some time i meet up with bubu jie jie as she was is austalia for 2 wks for her graduation trip and i was in taipei. Hee.. ANyway, the 2i peeps gotten together and celebrate bubu jie jie's 23 birthday! Dinner was at Marche @ Vivocity. Seriously, i didnt know that there was a marche there till ivy jie jie told mi. The food is normal but i tink the old marche at The heeren is still the best. The crepes there are fantastic, is a MUST TRY! Especially when added with an ice-cream and wrapped with their freshly made custard. We also ordered the pear pie which mi and zb QC to be the nicest looking pie there. However, the taste is erm... so so onli. Hee

Besides celebrating with the 2i peeps, i also joined the celebration for bubu bday party at Wakaru with the SME gang! Wakaru is a japanese restaurant located at level one of the STarhub centre. It sells a wide variety of japanese food - paper woks, ramen, udon and dons! The food looks so nice but i was so bloated from moi Sakae sushi buffet earlier tt i just had dessert. SOb Sob~ Next time i must go and try their main course!

Day 2Destination : Yilan
Wake up super early at 7 to catch the train to Yilan where we are having a farm stay! hee. The huo che ride took some time and we reach there onli at 10 plus. By the time we had reach there, we were famished as we haven even eaten breadfast!!! Ate at a small mian eatery where i tried the "dao1 siao1 mian4". Hmm is not fantastic but i tink i luv it as i am too hungry le. Haha. outside taipei huo che station

We took a bus and slowly made our way to "mei1 lin2 nong2 cang1". The bus journey seems ages but i was enjoying the nice scenery along the way! Suddenly, the driver ask us to alight and my god, around mi is nothing but mountains and open areas. Haha i wonder where is the farm. We walked slowly down a small muddy path and finalli we reached! hee the auntie there veri friendly and the scenery there is marvellous!
The front view of the farm is a wide open area of vegetable farm with lotsa vegetables like cong, xiao bai cai and watermelons. And the vegetables there are super super big!!! The size is definitely not something i can find in singapore. And surrounding the farm, is nothing but mountains. My god, i feel so near to mother nature. Haha.

All of us were famished again by dinner time. And it will be a bbq dinner! hee is nice to bbq especially during the evenings, the mountainous areas become cold. Of course, the bbq fire keeps us warm. This is the first time i adored the warmth of the bbq. The food the aunite prepare is very nice. The vegetables are freshly plucked from the farm and cooked! Can you imagine how fresh it is!!! I am not a fan of tomatoes but auntie brought this big plate of tomatoes sprinkled with plum powder. I tried one and my god, is super sweet and nice!!! like eating some sweet juciy fruits! Yummy!!! I never knew that tomatoes can taste this great! Haha. The onli off thing abt the bbq is that there were a lot of flying ants!!! haha. There are so many of them that i keep moving here and there to keep them away! Scary!

   Auntie say that the weather is a bit cold hence we might not be able to see fireflies. But we still decide to go and try our luck. The farm at night is scary as it is pitch dark which u thought u are blind. U are not able to see without a torch. Holding hands and with auntie as guide, we embark on the mission to find fireflies. Haiz... walk walk walk for almost 0.5 hr and still nothing in sight. When we are losing hope, suddenly we saw it! We exclaimed "IT's THERE!!!" I always thought that fireflies are yellow in colour but in fact the one i saw has a faint blue colour. Hee so cool!!! Haha... the fireflies expedition ended our itineray for day 2!

TAIPEI HERE I COME!!!Day 1 Haha.. the long awaited graduation trip has finalli arrived! With love from papa, mushroom and xiaobai to send mi off, i feel so blessful! Haha... i bet they will certainly miss mi! But i miss them too~ Saw lotsa people on the same plane - lisa and otto, shiyun and bf and moi co junior. The whole world is gg to taiwan! The jetstar plane is not tt bad afterall. The seats though not as spacious as SIA one, are wide enu to be comfortable. However, the plane is rather small with onli 6 columns of seats. But i feel is valued for money! Hee i will definitely consider Jetstar again.
Arrived at taipei and off we went to shilin Ye shi for dinner! That places is so crowded and the variety of food makes me spoilt for choice! Haha.. tried the o jian. But i feel is not so nice cos it is too starchy le. I still prefer the singapore one! Haha... The sotong there is damn damn big! And the chou tou fu though smells yucky is nice! The best of it all is the ManGO Ice!!! The ice are shaved till so thin that it literally melts in your mouth. Heavenly!!! I bought the da bing bao xiao bing. I feel is not veri nice as too dry le.
