BIE Farewell - Chew ting & Terence

It is defnitely true tt after one starts work, it is harder to meet up with one another. This is especially so when friends are even leaving the country to pursure their career. My BIE friends qiuting and terence are leaving for US this coming saturday. Since July till now, i have more den 8 friends leaving the country for at least 0.5 yrs in a foreign land. As much as i miss them, i wish them the best in watever they do. Okie.. enu of the sorrow stuff. We had a farewell lunch for them @ Fish & Co in AMK hub.

Peri Peri Catch


I was so thrilled to see that Fish & Co had changed their menu. Their lunch items are priced reasonably like ard 9 for a main course. They have incorporated more grilled fish items instead of the usual fried oily stuff. For tt, i am rather grateful and happie as eating the main course doesnt add as much calories to moi daily intake. I had peri peri catch - catch of the day with chilli sauce. The chilli tt covered the fish made the whole dish so appetising. Indeed, it taste yummy.

Geylang Makan

On sunday night, went to try the claypot "tian ji" porridge in Geylang. Dunno whether izzit becos i am hungry, but the porridge taste super good. The porridge is smooth and taste heavenly coupled with the dark sauce of the claypot "tian ji" and the tender tian ji" meat. I totally agreed tt Geylang is a place with good food. However, the place is a bit too sleazy though.

Had a nice walk along Kallang River after dinner. I need the walk to digest all my food. The view at Kallang River is splendid. For a moment, i thought i was overseas.

YS Farewell

The MTs are always joking among ourselves... who will be the first to leave STB. Well, YS has beat us all to it!!! Of course, i am happie for her for being able to find a job tt she finds more suitable. Furthermore, the company she is gg is moi dream company!!!

We had a farewell celebration for her after work. Presents and flowers are a must! hee...YS is definitely touched esp the flowers is her fav - purple tulips and she have the honour of the 'cheapo' guy ordering and volunteering to get the flowers for her. Haha.. Dinner was at waraku @ cuppage. I tink i have eaten too many times there till the food doesnt excites mi animore.

After dinner, we went to SVC (our 2nd home) to take a peek. Hee... and of course, cannot miss out trying the free osim usqueeze. I was so comfortably enjoyin it tt i was rather reluctant to leave.

We ended off the celebration with a la kopi session @ TCC. Gosh, it was so crowded tt we had to wait a whole 30 mins! Argh... i hate wkends cos there are so so many peeps!!! Anyway, YS all the best to you! Will miss you and i know u will miss mi too! (BHB)

I was so happie when ivy jie jie suddenly dun nid to go back to work! Haha.. so the initial cancelled malaysia makan and shopping trip will be "revived".

First Stop - Bak Kut Teh

The bak kut teh is served in a claypot and cooked over charcoal fire. Sounds traditional and tasty right. The look of the bubbles and steam from the hot boiling soup just make it so irresistible. The taste is more on the herbal side rather den the pepperish side. The ribs are just nice - tender and with just the right amount of meat. Fillingly yet not "ni4". They serve the usual sian2 cai4 and dou po as well. However, is a pity tt they do not serve youtiao.

Kelvin wants to go there to buy car accessories and "cheng" his car. Haha.. there has nice shops too and i bought a top from there! Hooray!!!

3rd stop: Jusco

A one storey shopping mall tt is rather quiet. The mall is not crowded at all on a saturday afternoon. Not much shops there but we did enjoy our ice-cream treat at Baskin-Robbins! The waffle is good so do the ice-cream!!! I remb they have outlets in singapore... but i just forgotten where. I tink tis is a sign of aging. Opps

I was so tired tt i just dozed off on the car. Die argh... keep sleeping and eating... eating and sleeping.. Like Pig ~oink~oink~ The evening jog aftermax with ivy at least makes mi feel less sinful.

Cafe Del Mar photo shoot

Meiyan babe needed some "extras" for some ads. So i have the "honour" of being selected as an extra. Guess wat, the filming takes place in cafe del mar. For a moment after knowing the venue for the photo shoot, i was pretty excited! Becos... i cant get close to the sea...the sand... and the sun. But things turned out rather differently. We ended up wearing office wear on the beach. Yesh... we do realli look out of place.

Resident Evil - Extinction


Yeah... Both zhiyun and i are resident evil fans. I remb it was zhiyun who dragged mi to watch the first episode as she like the soundtrack. Erm... wat a reason to watch a movie. However, i do agree tt the movie is good. Haha.. tink both of us have tis "thing" towards zombies. The zombie in this episode is not as scary and the whole show is not as gore. But Milla Jovovich is still as pretty if not prettier. Some parts of the story is quite unrealistic though. Other den tt, not much complaints.

KTV madness

Weekends are crazy singing days!!! Haha... on fri night went to meet ivy, miaoling and bubu for late night ktv till midnight. Actualli we can sing till 3am, but at 12 plus... all of us are feeling drowsy and tired. I guess going home to catch some beauty sleep will be better.


On sat, went to sing ktv again with mel and bf and king. Yesh.. again. (Ps: K box shld consider having some loyalty program cos i tink i am contributing quite an amt to their revenue each yr) Dinner @ Ichiban Boshi was a bit disappointing tis time. I tried their so-called specialty soba and it didnt realli taste special. I ordered cold soba with braised duck breast meat. The soup was too saltish and the duck meat is too oily. Bleahz... maybe i shld just eat sushi next time which i know, tasted and confirmed is good!


Driving on sunday morning again. Tis time not as cui cos i tink i have more sleep. haha.. and i am beginnging to enjoy driving fast. opps... tis is dangerous wor... Feel drowsy and restless the whole of sunday. Haha.. maybe, sundays are just meant for nua kia like mi to laze ard.

Proj Presentation

It has been a long time since moi last presentation. Tink 5 mths le ba - last one was the FYP presentation. Part of moi work performance is graded upon tis proj and of course, i treat it veri seriously!!! (Ps: it will affect moi bonus lo) We rehearse for couple of times - sacrificing lunch break by swallowing kinda not nice (inedible) food frm the bistro and staying back after work to make the presentation as perfect as possible.

Finalli its all over and i am glad we did a good job! First time i am in a team where the ppt skills are of a certain std wor! hee... awesome... Of course, there are still areas of improvements. However, we are happie cos we know we have tried and give in the best we have! Great job!!!

I was shocked to see moi table full of post tags after moi lunch on friday afternoon. Of course, i checked whether anithin is missing and gosh! Moi tor tor hp stand is missing! Bleahz...

Finalli i found it at the opposite side of the office!!! Haha.. the 2 kidnappers are the most mischievious of all - Shu En and Mei yan!!! But this incident realli brighten moi busy friday afternoon.

Shoes frenzy....

I dunno wat came over mi but i bought like 3 pairs of shoes within like 2 days? Haha.. but the last 2 pairs frm MONDO are real cheap like 2 for $15! Of course, how can i miss such a good bargain. Getting a good deal comes with a price though - mushroom was again nagging and nagging at mi for buying too many things. Sorry mushroom but retail therapy realli makes mi happie ~WINKS~








Met sihui in vivocity on friday as well. It has been a long time i see her. Haha.. and saw tis wallet in RIVER ISLAND which is so so mi! Haha.. sihui says "this wallet is totally liling and it is not ugly!" Kaohz.. wat a comment... which means moi stuff are usually not pretty? Hee... who cares.. i like can le...



3rd driving lesson le and i tink i am a real lousy driver. Haha.. i hope things get better. I will pray.

Training @ tourist academy (sentosa)



Spent 2 days in sentosa for a training course on the fundamentals of tourism. Of course, is a good escape from the deskbound job back in office. The onli regret is tt we are just too lazy to walk to the beach, chill and enjoy the sea breeze. Nevertheless, we bitch and chill out @ coffeebean in vivocity after the first day of training.



On the 2nd day training, the photo mood of us are just turned on. Actualli, we are just trying to add photos in facebook. It seems weird tt the facebook nowadays is so boring.

First Friday

Yesh. The wkends have arrived and i managed to survive thru the first wk back @ HQ without a scratch. Of course, we need an evening out to bitch and catch up with each other and so.... we are off to cedele !!! The good thing abt working near orchard is that we can walk there and reach wheellock in less den 10 mins.

The gers have heard and definitely have tried the sandwiches in cedele and we all agree they are healthy and delicious. Select your preferred fillings and you can choose from a variety of bread like - sunflower wholemeal, walnut... The servings are big. So for "small" eaters like us, a sandwich is sufficent to make 2 person full. (Pretend to be small eaters as the extra space is allocated and reserved for desserts)

Now to the desserts part. A die die must try - Chocolate Truffle voted as one of the top 10 cakes in singapore. It definitely lives up its reputation!!! The cake literally melts in moi mouth and there is a lingering strong and bitter taste of the chocolate. For a moment, i thought i was in heaven. Okie, tt is a bit of exaggeration. Another surprise came from the macadamian pancakes with 2 scoops of ice-cream. I thought tt the nuts will come as a toppings but instead, the macadamian is mixed tog with the pancake mix. Crunchy nuts with warm, soft pancakes combine with cold, creamy ice-cream. Hmmmm.... drool......

After work, few of us went shopping in Far East! Haha.. i finalli bought a straw bag. The bag is veri act cute but the gers say it suits mi. (Bleahz)
Nice night out! How i wish everyday is friday...





Mum's friend bought back chocolates from Hokkaido - Melon Wine Jelly in Chocolate!!! The melon taste is strong and refreshing. However, is a bit too sweet for mi though.

2nd day of work

Firstly, happie birthday yanfu! Hope you like the Raoul shirt we bought for u. Today is also moi supervisor bday and so the whole dept is off for an italian meal near serene centre. IL Giardiano which moi colleagues recommend for tasty italian food definitely tastier den Spageddis.

The whole set cost $22++ which is rather reasonable for the quality and quantity! Haha.. highly recommended!

Gotten moi new Fujitsu Lappie from IS dept! I luv the wide screen and the sleek design. Haha.. of course, tis means tt serious work is coming. Amitabha....

First day of work @ HQ is tiring. In future, i can expect endless deadlines, paperwork, internal and external meetings. haiz... how i wish i can be a student again....
