The new album of fish leong is as expected veri nice and i couldn't resist but buy it. She continues her own style as being the 情歌天后, with emotional luv songs tt makes you cry and feel like falling in luv. Heee... I dunno how to choose the songs i prefer becos every song is so nice. I have never hear fish sing in cantonese b4 and i have onli praises after hearing the song.

PS: I am sick again... i knew moi sorethroat is quite bad as i am unable to sing and hit the high note...hope i recover soon...dunno how many times in the last few mths le.... *BLEAHZ*

Farewell for zhiqiang and jerry

Friends leaving one after another. This time, is a farewell for zhiqiang and jerry who are both gg to US for 6 mths training. We settled for N.Y.D.C after a whole 45 minutes of waiting. What to do... it's a friday.

This yr's orchard Christmas in the Tropics decorations is veri pretty! The theme is fairy tales and i just luv the endless stretch of silverish lighthings, lited ballerinas and moving toy soldiers. I am totally immersed in the christmas atmosphere and just cant wait for the actual day to come!

Meeting with old friends
It feels good to meet with old friends esp friends since secondary school after i start work. The memories of the happie times we spend in RVCO is too precious and pleasant to forget. That was the innocent us, crazy, playful yet united. Haha.. suddenly i feel old. Dinner was at Manhattan's Fish Market which is not realli fantastic and personally i prefer fish and co.

Friday nite @ chinatown

Whoa... has been a long time i've been out with moi fellow babes from STB! On this friday, the exercusion is to Chinatown. Being the most familiarised with the place, i was appointed the guide for the day! Haha... dun worry i didnt carry ani flag nor loud speaker with mi. The trip started off with a sumptuous dinner @ the hawker centre. Carrot cake is fantastic! Even shu en who doesnt eat carrot cake gave thumbs up after tasting it!

After dinner, we started the shoppin trip. Introduced them to the cheap cheap shampoo shop and there were thrilled with how much cheaper the prices are. Haha... of course they did purchase some redken shampoo and conditioner. However, i am too lazy to drag the heavy stuff home. Well, i can always ask mushroom to do it for mi. ~poor mushroom~ Shu en and sihui couldnt get their hands off the quirky and vintage accessories at a shop meiyan recommended. They are realli in a shopping mood! After tt, choon yen went off to meet her ah boi for a midnight movie leaving the 2 gers with busy bfs and the single off to dessert at food street.

Retreat @ Palate Sensation
An escape from work! Hee... this retreat we are gg to learn cooking and bartending @ Palate Sensation. Althought minor hiccups do occur, i had hell lotsa of fun!!!

We learn cooking in the morning and our team is divided into 4 groups.
First dish: Seafood Gratin
This dish is rather complicated. First we nid to prepare the seafood stock for making the cream sauce. Den, we nid to pan fried the scallop, prawn and button mushrooms with garlic. In the last step, we put the ingredients nicely on a big clam shell and topped with a generous amt of the cream sauce and mozarella cheese. After tt, it is baked for i dunno how long. Haha.. the chef will help us control the temperature.

Dessert: Creme Brulee
I have heard of tis dish b4 but i have never tried it though. A lot of effort is required for tis dish, preparing the custard alike cream and pouring them into the container. Baking them and followed by chilling them in the fridge. I tink the control of temp is of utmost importance to ensure tis dish is tasty. Haha.. again i will leave it to the chef.

BlackBox Challenge
As a "competitive" division, we luv competitions. In this black box challenge, we are supposed to use our creativity and whip up an award winning dish with the given ingredients in 20mins!

Finalli, the must awaited lunch. We are going to eat the dishes we prepared. The thought of it is a bit scary though.

Next, to the highlightS!!! "Torching" of the creme brulee. I sprinked a gererous amt of the sugar on top of moi creme brulee. The creme brulee taste fantastic. Cooling custard coupled with the hard and warm caramelised suagr is simply too good to resist.


i shall try making one day... but dunno where to find such a strong flame



Bartending
After the heavy lunch, we proceed to 2nd level to learn basic bartending skills. We were introduced to the different types of liquor, how to mix different cock tails and mock tails and presentation of the drinks.
